Great pictures. Good the see the Sea Harriers being kept in reasonable shape. The Sea Harrier issue was discussed at length in various places on the internet, including here (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?t=98152). Hopefully in a crisis they could be regenerated - that possibility may still have a deterrent effect.

Love your shot of the Hurri on the ground at Duxford. Great lighting, beautiful colors. It is regrettable the intrusions in the background of the other, "modern" aircraft. I love to shoot aircraft and grondshots without clutter are next to impossible to shoot. One can Photoshop them out(unless you're a purist in this regard). I do that from time to time. If you would like I will do that for you on this shot. Shoot me the full size file, I'll clean it up and shoot it back. A beautiful shot anyway, warts and all! A fellow enthusiast Chris

Chris Many thanks for your comments and it was good lighting at that time of the afternoon. I know what you mean about 'stuff' in the background but I leave it in, even though I can delete it in photoshop myself, as that is what was there at the time. Brian

Thank you Ian. It does help with visits when you are associated with a forum (UKAR) that is looked at by people in high places and part of a group (CAG) that has a good very good reputation in the same circles. There are more visits planned so watch this space. Brian

Another super set of shots Brian. Always look forward to checking out your latest posts. Any chance of an idots guide to using raw please - it seems so complicated to me. I use a Canon 350D and have always chickened out and left it in jpeg mode. Regards Ian Wilkinson

Thank you again Ian. Probably the wrong person to ask about RAW as I am just starting out down that road. Not used RAW in the past as my old computer did not have enough processing power. It is not as complicated as you think it looks. After playing around with the sliders in the RAW converter I ended up just using the Temperature/Tint/Brightness sliders and ensured that the histogram was central and then finished off with Levels and sharpening in Photoshop. You can always of course set your camera to shoot in Jpeg & RAW if you are not that confident enough to go totally RAW. Hope that helps a bit. Happy shooting. Brian

Top Photo's Brian. I flew G-ACDA in the display, it was a bit bumpy and windy for us, but we had a good day. I managed to get quite a few balloons and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Thanks for putting the photo's up on line, I've emailed the link to the rest of the team to have a look Cheers Scott

Have enjoyed looking at your album of East Kirby pics. It was not until we finished dinner on Saturday that my wife and I decided to take our grand daughter down to East Kirkby for the afternoon. Hence we missed the first taxi run and the dog fight but saw the Spit and Buchon take-off and the second taxi run. A good opportunity to try out a new telephoto zoom. I was aware of "yellow jackets" on the control tower behind us as the Lancaster returned and I find all three of us in the crowd in your last two images. Impressed our 8 year old greatly! Thanks Tony

Happy New Year Brian I always look forward to seeing your latest visit photos. That new super wide angle lens seems to work fine. Must get down to Duxford before some of the "exports" disappear. Best wishes Ian Wilkinson Grimsby
